Diane Arbus, David Bailey and Lee Friedlander, etc.

Here are a bunch of odds and ends that have built up.

Here's an item about the Arbus photos of Hubert's Freaks that were found in one of the barker's storage locker. A resolution of sorts though what is happening with photos themselves is still up in the air.

If you haven't read Hubert's Freaks: The Rare-Book Dealer, the Times Square Talker, and the Lost Photos of Diane Arbus by Gregory Gibson, I highly recommend it. It's just out in paperback. This is the website for the book with many photos and recollections of the original Hubert's.

And speaking of books, here are some fanciful bookcases and bookshelves. Whether they work or not, I'm sure they look great in those ultra-modern apartments.

This is a wonderful project called Naked People. It's like having X-Ray specs.

Regarding the PhotoEphemera post on David Bailey, here is a fascinating interview with him, under the rubric, Love & Sex. He really did get around...

There is a new post on PhotoEphemera: The Nation's Capitol by Lee Friedlander.
